Jackie Barutha

Born and raised a midwestern girl in the city of Milwaukee, Jackie always had an interest in design and fashion. Her mother, Renee, always knew Jackie would follow a future in art and design based on her obsession with her Barbie dolls. She said she would take hours "preparing" Barbie for playtime, her outfit just had to be perfect before she could go meet Ken for a date. From a young age, her creativity flourished through many different outlets including painting, sculpture and design.  She attended Pius XI High School in Milwaukee where she took advantage of many art programs the school had to offer and then received her Bachelors of Arts and Communications with a Journalism and Graphic Design emphasis from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater in 2004.

After a lay off in the advertising industry, Jackie decided to start her own freelance marketing division for a local area boutique and Milwaukee staple, Fred Boutique. It was at Fred where she started designing everyday hair accessories for the store. The community responded with extreme excitement and she soon found herself in 12 stores in the area. Not before long, she had valued customers asking her to make custom items for their wedding day. After the first birdcage veil was made, Miss Ruby Bridal Boutique came knocking at her door to design a line for the bridal shop. Jaxie has now expanded into multiple stores and designs not only bridal hair accessories but a wide variety of vintage inspired glam including, bridal belts, cuffs, veils, headbands, bridal clutches and much more.

Jackie also offers customization options for those brides who just can't find what they are looking for. She can custom design and handmake a piece for you whether it is including scraps from a wedding dress that was passed down, repurposing a veil, to creating a hairpiece from a heirloom brooch. The possibilities are endless!

Jaxie has been featured on Style Me Pretty, Hey Wedding Lady, Married in Milwaukee, Aisle Perfect, 100 Layer Cake, Southern Weddings and The Chicago Sun Times... just to name a few! She also recently won Wedding Wire's: Couple's Choice Awards of 2017 and Best of 2017 - Accessories from Wisconsin Bride Magazine. She also styled talk show host, Whitney Reynolds for her 2014 wedding! When Jackie is not playing dress up with brides, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and loves to travel to new places.
